Time for an update

I haven't posted anything to the front page for some time so thought I'd better make some effort to keep this somewhat current. Since the last update I've added another 7 albums of images to the site. To start off with there a three albums from the last hill climbs of 2008 that I attended - Loton Park September 14th, Shelsley Walsh September 20th & Shelsley Walsh September 21st. I still need to decided how many events I will aim to get to this year. I would like to do as many British Hill Climb Championship rounds as possible along with other midland hills dates but need to see if I can justify the cost and time involved with that. I have ever growing admiration for those of you that have been doing it for years, whether as drivers, crew or hangers on.

The is also an album from the Midland Hill Climb Championship Dinner. It was a fun night out and great to see Peter Cox awarded as champion. I reverted to pap mode and couldn't resist getting the camera out. Thankfully no one seemed bothered and hopefully there are a few fun shots there to remember the night.

With the hill climb season over I've been looking at other areas to keep me busy. Chris Ponsford, who also shoots at Shelsley and Prescott, has dragged me off to a few rallies over the last couple of months. They are quite a different challenge to hill climbs. So far I've found them a bit easier to get OK shots, as you have more control over angles, position, etc. There is probably also more opportunity for great shots but that depends a lot on being at the right place at the right time and the long stages means it would take years to find the very best spots. The rallies we have been to are the Wales Rally GB, Haye Park Gravel Sprint and Wyedean Forest Rally.
